September 4th: Monday’s Daily Double – 3/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

While the European qualifiers might get back underway later this week, we still have a handful of intriguing affairs from across the footballing globe.

So, for those of you looking to place a Monday flutter, we have found a pair of fixtures that can potentially offer a great return for your bet.

12:30 Guangzhou vs Heilongjiang

While Heilongjiang might know that they need a minor miracle in their bid to claim a promotion spot this season, Monday’s guests should find the mood in their camp at a continued high. Appearing to cruise their way to at least a top-half finish this time around, the Purples will certainly be smelling the chance to make another Jia League statement here.

Last seen putting in a rampant display as they signed off August with a rampant 3-0 victory at home against Suzhou Dongwu, Jia Shunhao’s men have lost just a pair of their previous nine second-tier appearances – a run that stems back to July 1st.

Now looking to clinch back-to-back Jia League wins for the first time since the start of June, the Ice City will be excited by their most recent meeting against Monday’s hosts.

Landing a deserved 1-0 victory when they welcomed the second-tier strugglers to the Harbin ICE Center back on May 23rd, Heilongjiang will be seeking a repeat performance here.

On the flip side, while Shunhao’s side might be in the midst of a recent boost, the same cannot be said for a Guangzhou squad who are enduring a public crisis.

Losing their Super League status last season and coming under a huge amount of scrutiny, the Tigers are once again looking over their shoulder at another looming relegation scrap.

Last seen putting in another worrying performance as they suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Guangxi Pingguo Haliao, the Reds have now lost four of their previous five Jia League appearances.

Likewise, slumping to a 3-0 drumming against Shijiazhuang Gongfu in their last showdown on home soil, Guangzhou should face another stern examination here.

Betting Tip: Heilongjiang win & Under 3.5 goals @ 7/5 with Pribet

19:45 Chelmsford City vs Hemel Hempstead

While Chelmsford might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, the Essex-based outfit certainly haven’t shown any signs of a hangover since opening up the 2023/24 campaign. With their sights firmly set on punching a fifth-tier ticket this time around, Monday’s hosts will be desperate to make another National League South statement here.

Despite suffering last-gasp frustration at the hands of Yeovil over the weekend as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw on the road, Robbie Simpson’s men should still find the mood in their camp at a continued high.

Signing off August with a 1-0 win at home against Eastbourne Boro, the Clarets are yet to suffer a single defeat from any of their opening seven National League South appearances.

Building off of what was an eye-catching pre-season run over the summer, Chelmsford are rightfully tipped as a standout contender when they return to the Melbourne Stadium here.

While Hemel Hempstead might have opened the new season with dreaming of the chance to mount their own play-off charge, Monday’s guests have struggled to find any kind of stability.

Crashing back down to earth after their bright start last month, the Tudors are without a win from any of their previous five straight National League South appearances.

With their recent issues highlighted by consecutive 2-1 defeats against Weymouth and Farnborough respectively, Brad Quinton’s men could be starting to look over their shoulder.

Hit with a 2-1 loss when they travelled to the Melbourne Stadium for a sixth-tier battle 11 months ago, we are expecting a similar outcome in Essex on Monday night.
