Sevilla announce Kjaer capture

Spanish giants Sevilla have moved to announce that they are set to complete the signing of Danish defender Simon Kjaer from Fenerbahce.

It was no secret that Los Rojiblancos were keen on the highly rated footballer and they appear to have made a breakthrough.

Sevilla announced via their official Twitter account that Simon Kjaer would undergo a medical in Andalucia on Tuesday ahead of joining the club.

The Denmark international arrives as a replacement for Adil Rami and the cost of the transfer is around €13 million.

Simon Kjaer, 28, spent last two years at Fenerbahce, making 55 Super Lig appearances and scoring 3 goals.

The well-traveled centre-back had also represented Midtjylland, Palermo, Wolfsburg, AS Roma and Lille.
