Spain fans have been celebrating their first win at Euro 2012 following their 4-0 trouncing of Ireland on Thursday.
It was a carnival atmosphere at Arena Gdansk in Poland as the world champions continued the defence of their European crown in style.
A Fernando Torres brace helped fire Spain to the top of Group C heading into their final match against Croatia.
The Chelsea striker came in for some tough criticism last season, but the Spanish fans were quick to voice their appreciation for him.
Cesc Fabregas and David Silva got the other goals as the tournament favourites looked at their best.
Ireland’s supporters were also in good spirits despite the defeat signalling the end of their campaign.
Ireland have been praised for their strong support in Poland and Ukraine and even after their loss, the streets of Gdansk remained green.
Following their 3-1 defeat to Croatia in the opening game, Giovanni Trapattoni’s men go into their final group game against Italy aiming to restore some pride.
