Spurs goalkeeper Vicario tempted by Inter Milan interest

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Guglielmo Vicario is considering the possibility of leaving Tottenham Hotspur, with Inter Milan showing interest in the services of the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

Vicario made a big mistake in Spurs’ clash with Fulham, which resulted in the second goal conceded within the opening six minutes as Fulham’s Harry Wilson found the empty net from near the touchline. The moment prompted the club supporters to start booing their goalkeeper, which appears to have hit a nerve and pushed Vicario into uncertainty over his desire to continue playing for the club.

Meanwhile, Yann Sommer is still on fine form for Inter, keeping five clean sheets in 11 Serie A appearances this season. However, his contract expires at the end of the season and being 36, he will be aware that any offer of a new deal that comes his way cannot be very lucrative.

Inter have therefore started making advances towards Vicario, who would likely find the prospect of returning to his homeland attractive.
