Valencia close on Simone Zaza

Spanish daily newspaper AS understands that Valencia are in advanced talks to sign Italian striker Simone Zaza from Juventus.

The highly rated footballer is currently on loan with West Ham, but the Hammers manager Slaven Bilic has made it clear they are ready to offload the player in January.

The boss cannot use Zaza any more this season as his transfer would become permanent after a 14th appearance, meaning West Ham are unlikely to object to the loan deal being cut short.

At the same time, Valencia have managed to agree personal terms with the striker and they now need to find an agreement with his employers as well.

Los Che also plan to sign Zaza on loan with an option to buy, which they hope will be lower than €20 million.

Valencia are short of options up front and their new head coach Cesare Prandelli clearly believes he can help the 25-year-old get his career back on track.
