Napoli striker Victor Osimhen wants to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, has made it clear that he is not willing to continue at Napoli and has ‘chosen’ Man Utd as his new destination.
However, no deal has been agreed between Man Utd and Osimhen or between the Premier League club and Napoli. Although the Nigeria international striker’s salary demands are high, there is hope that an agreement will be found. Osimhen also has a release clause of €75million in his contract at Napoli.
Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world, while Man Utd are in need of a top-quality marksman. It remains to be seen if the Nigerian star does end up at Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim’s side will not have any European football next season after ending up as low as 15th in the Premier League table in the 2024-25 season. Man Utd have already signed Brazilian star Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5million.
