Wenger makes a check on Bobby Zamora

Arsenal have made an inquiry into the availability of Bobby Zamora, the Daily Star reveals.

Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign another quality striker in January, so as to take some pressure off Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman has played way too many games this season and Wenger is afraid that his striker could suffer in the second part of the season.

According to Daily Star, the Frenchman has set his sights on Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

The 30-year-old is unhappy with his treatment at Craven Coattage and could decide to leave the club in January.

Arsene Wenger could even offer Marouane Chamakh in exchange for Zamora, which is something that Fulham could be interested in.
