Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha is keen on a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The Gunners want to sign the Brazil international forward following the injury to Gabriel Jesus, and the player himself is ready to switch clubs.
According to the report, Wolves are not willing to sell Cunha in the middle of the season. The 25-year-old, also wanted by Aston Villa, is one of the best players at the club and has scored 10 goals and given four assists in 20 Premier League starts. The Wanderers are aiming to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United are also chasing Cunha, but he would prefer a move to Arsenal because of the fact that the North London club are in the race for the Premier League title. Mikel Arteta’s side are six points behind leaders Liverpool in second place, with the Reds having a game in hand.
