With London bragging rights up for grabs on Sunday afternoon, Crystal Palace will welcome Tottenham to Selhurst Park.

Although the Eagles might have rightfully received a string of plaudits over the past 18 months, Oliver Glasner’s men have struggled to find any recent stability and they are desperate to kickstart their charge for another famous European ticket.

Enduring what has become a public rut and coming under some serious recent scrutiny, Spurs will travel across London this weekend knowing that they face another stern examination and the pressure on Thomas Frank’s shoulders is reaching a boiling point.

Ahead of Sunday’s showdown from Selhurst Park, we have taken a glance at some of the most attractive Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Bet Builder Tips.

Palace to get their European charge back on track

Getting their hands on a maiden FA Cup crown back in May and securing a famous Europa Conference League adventure, Crystal Palace rightfully received a string of plaudits from across the continent.

However, suffering EFL Cup heartbreak away at Arsenal last time out as they eventually fell to a penalty shootout defeat in north London, Sunday’s hosts have failed to win any of their previous four appearances across all competitions.

Enduring their most extended blip since the end of October, Glasner’s side are desperate to get their European charge back on track and claim a heavyweight Premier League scalp here.

Despite showing some worrying defensive issues over the past month, the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss should be smelling a golden opportunity when his squad return to Selhurst Park.

Including a 2-0 win when they last met Tottenham back on May 11th, Palace have won each of their last two Premier League showdowns against their local rivals.

Pressure seriously mounting on Frank

While Frank might have only arrived in north London over the summer, the former Brentford boss has come under serious recent scrutiny and the pressure on his shoulders is set to reach a boiling point.

Last seen falling to a 2-1 loss at home against Liverpool, Sunday’s guests have come free-falling down the Premier League table and opened Christmas Day sat way down in 14th-place.

Last seen on their travels putting in a woeful performance as they slumped to a 3-0 drumming at the hands of relegation scrappers Nottingham Forest, Tottenham have shown some major issues on either side of November’s international break.

In fact, Frank’s downbeat squad have registered just a quartet of wins from any of their previous 14 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to October 4th.

Likewise, Spurs have failed to win any of their last five consecutive showdowns outside of north London (four defeats, one draw).

Mateta to refind his goalscoring touch

Putting pen to paper on a new deal at Selhurst Park 12 months ago, Jean-Philippe Mateta has certainly underlined his status as one of Crystal Palace’s striking superstar.

Heavily linked with a string of European giants and regarded as one of the Premier League’s standout marksmen, the French international has only continued to shine since arriving in south London back in January 2021.

However, failing to find the net in any of his last six appearances across all competitions, the former Mainz striker will be looking to refind his goalscoring touch this weekend.

Registering seven goals in his 14 Premier League appearances so far this season, only the quartet of Hugo Ekitike (8), Antoine Semenyo (8), Igor Thiago (11) and Erling Haaland (19), have recorded more top-flight strikes.

Meeting a Tottenham defence who have shipped 16 goals in their last five appearances outside of north London, Mateta should be smelling a real opportunity to steal centre stage.
