(GSM) – Velez Sarsfield are likely to lose their first place in the Argentinian Primera Division this week after a goalless draw at San Lorenzo on Saturday.

After winning their last three games, all eyes were on Velez to make it four in a row in an away game to San Lorenzo. It was never going to be an easy task however as San Lorenzo occupied third place after five rounds.

Neither side managed to make a difference at Buenos Aires’ Pedro Bidegain stadium, and although the two teams are now second and first respectively, they are unlikely to remain there after Sunday’s fixtures.

Arsenal, who play away to River Plate on Sunday, now need a a win to jump to the top of the table.
