Arsenal and Spurs set for Donsah tussle

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to battle for the services of Cagliari’s Godfred Donsah, according to the Metro.

The eighteen year old sensation, who has been likened to former Chelsea man Michael Essien due to his physical presence and style of play, has played seventeen times for the Serie A outfit so far this season having signed from Hellas Verona last July, while he scored in both the draw against Torino and last month’s victory over Cesena.

Both North London clubs are keen to finalise a deal for the midfielder though any potential deal will face Government red-tape, as new EU rules mean that English clubs will be granted a work permit should the fee exceed £10m.

However, as Donsah has played less than twenty senior club matches and is yet to make his international debut, the Premier League pair may be put off from paying such a high fee.
