Competition: Premier League
Market: Man City to Score in Both Halves
Odds: 2/5 @ Coral
In the Premier League this season, Manchester City have the second best home form, while Stoke City have the worst away form, so betting on the Citizens to convincingly beat their league counterparts is a safe bet.
With free-scoring Manchester City looking to avenge their Champions League failings in midweek, backing them at 8/11 to score more than three goals would be a wise move.
Stoke, managed by former Man City boss Mark Hughes, have just one win on their travels this campaign, and that was against West Ham in August. Since then, they’ve taken a paltry three points from the following 12 games – shipping 27 goals in the process.
Mark Hughes will be keen to get revenge on another old employer, after his side beat Manchester United recently, but goal-shy Stoke City have just the one win in nine, and face a Man City side who have averaged a staggering 3.5 goals per game at the Etihad.
The Sky Blues are 1/6 to beat the Potters, but such a bet is a mere formality with a small return. Backing Manuel Pellegrini’s men at 2/5 to score in both halves would be a better investment. Nailed on convincing home win.
