Lierse SK and KRC Genk are through to the semi finals of the Belgian Cup. Both sides had to overcome a first-leg defeat to advance.

Racing Club Mechelen beat Lierse 1-0 in the first leg but couldn’t convince as much away from home. Mohammed Wahed, Jurgen Cavens (penalty) and Tomasz Radzinski scored for a 3-0 win, a 3-1 victory on aggregate.

Genk lost 1-0 to Gent in the opening leg but won 2-0 at home to secure a spot in the semi finals. Jelle Vossen scored in the 32nd minute and Alex Da Silva converted a penalty deep into added time.

Tuesday’s clash between Kortrijk and KV Mechelen as well as Wednesday’s match between Roeselaere and Cercle Brugge were postponed due to bad weather.
