(GSM) – Cruzeiro’s third place in the Brazilian Serie A may come under fire again after the side lost 4-1 at Santos on Saturday.

Marcel put Santos in the lead after 54 minutes against Cruzeiro, and Edu Dracena made it 2-0 ten minutes after the hour.

With ten minutes to go, Thiago Ribeiro did pull one back but late goals from Neymar and Ze Eduardo eventually set the score to 4-1.

Fourth-placed Botafogo will now have a chance to reduce the gap with Cruzeiro to two points in Sunday’s home match with Atletico Paranaense.
