Ciro Ferrara warns Juventus about Sampdoria’s great form

Juventus Coach Ciro Ferrara has advised his team to be well prepared for their fixture against Sampdoria at Stadio Grande Torino tomorrow.

Sampdoria arguably have the best strike-force in Serie A at the moment with the likes of Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano. Midfielder Daniele Mannini is also in great form scoring his fourth and fifth goals of the season at the weekend.

While much of the talk about the clash between the Bianconeri and the Blucerchiati have revolved around striker Antonio Cassano, Ferrara wants his team to be mindful of the Blucerchiati’s other stars too.

“Cassano hasn’t changed – he’s very strong, like last year,” Ferrara stated to Il Corriere dello Sport.

“He is fundamental at Sampdoria, he always does something decisive.

But aside from Cassano, Sampdoria still has an organization that allows great play – there are other players who are playing very well.”

Talking about his side, the coach said, “We are few despite having a very large squad. I don’t want to force Alessandro Del Piero. Felipe Melo is a doubt and Martin Caceres is having an operation tomorrow. We have some problems, but we’re going forward.”

Diego will shoulder the burden of creating the majority of Juventus’ play, but Ferrara believes that there is less pressure on the Brazilian as there are many players who can lead the Bianconeri to success.

Juventus are back on track after the narrow victory over Siena on Sunday and the team must follow up their victory against fellow challengers Sampdoria to hold on to the fight for the Serie A title this season.
