Competition: La Liga

Market: Sevilla win

Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet

Hoping to potentially find a route into the top-half of the La Liga table, Sevilla will welcome Granada to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Sevilla might have opened the New Year at the heart of an infamous La Liga relegation scrap, Los Nervionenses have come roaring back in an eye-catching fashion. Last seen mounting a second-leg comeback as they snatched a gritty 1-1 stalemate away at Real Betis, Quique Sanchez Flores’ men now have their sights firmly set on securing a top-half finish in 2024. Marking their return from March’s international break with a 1-0 win away at Getafe, the former Watford boss has seen his squad muster 10 points from their previous four La Liga appearances. With their recent purple patch highlighted by a stellar 2-0 victory against Las Palmas on April 14th, Sevilla will also be excited by their continued success on home soil. Including a 1-0 victory against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid back in February, it should be noted that Flores’ side have won three of their previous four showdowns at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

As for the visitors, while Granada might open this weekend’s fixtures sat 10 points adrift and seeking a major La Liga miracle over the finish month, the Nasrids have certainly claimed a recent boost. Breathing life back into their potential great escape, Jose Sandoval’s men have collected seven points from their previous three appearances. However, although Sunday’s guests might have been last seen storming their way to a 3-0 victory at home against Osasuna, the one-time Rayo Vallecano boss has seen his squad gain a reputation for their glaring issues on the road. Rightfully still pencilled in as a landslide relegation contender, Granada have failed to muster a single La Liga victory away from the Nuevo Los Carmenes so far this season. With time really starting to tick away, Sandoval’s side should also be worried by their most recent meeting against a high-flying Sevilla. Hit with a 3-0 drumming when the two sides met for their reverse battle on December 19th, we are expecting a home win here.

Bet: Sevilla 7/10 to beat Granada in Sunday’s La Liga battle @ Pribet
