Jiangsu Sainty slumped to their third straight loss, while Beijing Guoan extended their unbeaten run in the Chinese Super League on Friday.
Li Xuepeng’s eighth-minute goal proved the difference as Dalian Aerbin beat Jiangsu 1-0 away from home.
Dalian climbed to seventh on the table with their second win of the season, while Jiangsu remain in 10th place with just one point from their past five league games.
Meanwhile, Beijing came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Guizhou Renhe in the Chinese capital.
Rafa Jorda opened the scoring for Guizhou in the 50th minute, before Lei Tenglong levelled proceedings only two minutes later.
Beijing moved up to second place with three wins and three draws from six matches, while Guizhou remain sixth with eight points.
