Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli has moved to confirm reports linking him with a winter move to Barcelona.

The Algeria hotshot is being mentioned as one of the primary targets for the Catalans, together with Celta’s Nolito.

And the 26-year-old has now confirmed that “my agent has had contacts with Barcelona” speaking to French newspaper La Dauphine.

Considering that Feghouli’s current contract at Mestalla is due to expire at the end of the season, there is every chance the Catalans will step up their interest ahead of the January window.

The Algerian has developed into an important player for Valencia, scoring 28 goals and producing 37 assists in 178 competitive appearances.

Feghouli scored the all-important winning goal in midweek’s Champions League clash with Lyon, thus further enhancing his growing reputation.

Lyon join race for Ben Yedder

French giants Lyon are showing interest in Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder, according to L’Equipe.

The 24-year-old has seen his stock rise a great deal over the last couple of years and he is widely expected to make a big club move in the near future.

Marseille and Sevilla both attempted to recruit the talented footballer in the summer transfer window, while L’Equipe claims that Lyon are keen as well.

Les Gones stayed without key attacker Nabil Fekir and could make a move on Wissam Ben Yedder in the January window.

The Toulouse hotshot has so far scored 47 goals in 127 league appearances, although he has only netted once this term.

Following the narrow loss to Valencia in midweek, Lyon can be backed at 8/13 to see off Reims on Saturday evening.

Yarmolenko in high demand

Catalan daily newspaper Sport is reporting that several top clubs are showing interest in Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Ukraine hotshot has so far resisted temptation to leave the Ukrainian giants for greener pastures, but he may be tempted to embark on a new challenge in the near future.

Sport has suggested that Yarmolenko is one of Barcelona’s options to replace Pedro Rodriguez, besides Sofiane Feghouli and Nolito.

At the same time, French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are keen on the player’s services and could come forward with an official bid.

Andriy Yarmolenko has been a key player for both club and country for quite a while now and he has 102 goals and 71 assists in 273 outings for Dynamo.

And with his contract due to expire in less than a year, a winter exit does appear to be on the cards for the 25-year-old footballer.
