Fletcher in West Ham talks

Louis van Gaal has confirmed Darren Fletcher is in talks with West Ham about a move away from Manchester United.

Darren Fletcher appears close to completing a move from Manchester United to West Ham, according to Louis van Gaal.

The Scotland international has made just four Premier League appearances in 2014-15, and there has been widespread speculation regarding his future at Old Trafford.

As well as West Ham, West Brom confirmed their interest in the midfielder, although it seems Fletcher is nearing a move to Upton Park.

“He is at West Ham now I believe, so we will have to wait and see,” United manager Van Gaal said in a press conference on Friday.

“He hasn’t played many times and that’s always the main goal of a player. We spoke about it and he prefers to play.”
