Maicon Sr: My son can’t wait to play for Real

(GSM) – Internazionale defender Maicon is still eager to move to Real Madrid.

The player’s father revealed his son still dreams of being reunited with his former coach José Mourinho.

“My son can’t wait to play for Real Madrid. He is aware that such a destination would be the perfect place to see out his career,” he explained to Spanish newspaper AS.

“At Madrid, Maicon would win the same titles he has managed to at Inter. Currently he is enjoying his holidays in northern Brazil, but we are relaxed in the knowledge that the right people are working on negotiations.”

Inter’s stance had initially been that they were not prepared to sell the Brazil international, but with rumblings from Maicon’s camp beginning to suggest the player is hoping a transfer is sealed before the transfer window closes.
