Malaga eyeing Bendtner

Malaga have launched an assault on Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, Spanish daily AS has revealed.

With los Boquerones set to stay without both Roque Santa Cruz and Javier Saviola, they are eager to sign a new centre forward at the earliest opportunity.

AS understands that Malaga have made the Danish striker their number one target and they are close to luring him to La Rosaleda.

Los Boquerones are prepared to meet Arsenal’s €3 million asking price, but the player’s high wage demands could prove to be a problem.

Bendtner was in Malaga on Friday to negotiate personal terms with the La Liga outfit, and even though the agreement has not been reached, the deal is still on.

The 25-year-old is desperate to leave the Emirates in search of first team football and there are no doubts a switch to Malaga would be a good career move for the player who has yet to realize his full potential.
