Ospina reiterates desire to leave Arsenal

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is holding out for a move away from the Emirates this summer.

The Colombian international has apparently informed the club of his desire to move on in search of regular playing time elsewhere as he got tired of playing the second fiddle to first-choice shot-stopper Petr Cech.

The 28-year-old has been linked with the likes of Fenerbahce and Besiktas for quite some time now and Ospina claims he would happily accept any offer from Turkey.

“I told my club that I want to go to a team where I’ll play regularly. They know my intention. If the right offer comes, then I’ll happily come to Turkey”, Ospina told Turkish publication Fanatik.

Ospina also revealed that Arsenal board would not be standing in his way of any possible transfer.

The Colombia international has been with the Gunners since 2014, when he arrived from Nice after a compelling display at the FIFA World Cup.

He made 49 appearances for the North London club, but has struggled to break into the first team and leapfrog the likes of Petr Cech and Wojciech Szczesny before him.
