Italian side Palermo have secured the services of Napoli defender Mirko Savini, who is to replace the departing Ciro Capuano.

With Capuano moving to Catania, Palermo didn’t need long to confirm the signing of 27-year-old Savini who had been in the spotlights of several other Serie A clubs.

Savini joined Napoli from Fiorentina in 2005 and has played 72 games for the ‘Partenopei’ since. He also helped Napoli win promotion to Italy’s top flight.
