Spurs set to make first summer signing

The Daily Mail is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are finally set to make the first signing of the summer.

According to the source, Spurs are set to complete a deal for Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

The Argentine will act as understudy to undisputed number one Hugo Lloris, and he already has plenty of experience as a back-up keeper having deputised for Fraser Forster at St Mary’s.

Gazzaniga spent four years playing second fiddle to the England international, making just 21 Premier League appearances in the process.

The 25-year-old enjoyed much needed regular playing time last term as he made 32 Segunda appearances for Rayo Vallecano.
