Burak Yilmaz’s 28th goal of the season has given Galatasaray a 1-0 win over Gaziantepspor, their sixth-straight in the Turkish Super Lig.

Yilmaz slotted the ball under Gaziantepspor goalkeeper Zydrunas Karcemarskas in the 62nd minute to wrap up Galatasaray’s victory, keeping them 13 points clear of Fenerbahce at the top of the division.

Fenerbahce had to come from behind for their win on Sunday thanks to a 57th-minute strike from Dirk Kuyt and Christian Baroni’s penalty with a minute of normal time remaining.

That victory means Fenerbahce are a win away from securing a berth in the qualifying stages of next season’s UEFA Champions League ahead of Besiktas, who defeated Orduspor 2-0 on Saturday.

At the other end of the table, Elazigspor moved a step closer to safety with a 1-0 triumph over fellow strugglers Karabukspor.

Sivasspor thrashed Istanbul BB 4-1, while bottom club Mersin Idmanyurdu were denied victory when Antalyaspor equalised in the 78th minute in a 1-1 draw.

In other results, Trabzonspor defeated Genclerbirligi 2-0, Eskisehirspor knocked off Kasimpasa 2-1 and Bursaspor drew 1-1 with Akhisar Belediyespor.
