Newcastle United lead Aaron Ramsdale race

Newcastle United are keen on signing Aaron Ramsdale from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Newcastle are leading the race for Ramsdale and have made contact for the England international goalkeeper.

Ramsdale is the second-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal at the moment and is behind David Raya in the pecking order. Raya is on loan at the Gunners from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal, and it is expected that the deal will be made permanent.

TEAMtalk has claimed that Ramsdale is a player in demand and has major offers from around Europe. Newcastle, though, is in pole position for the England international and want to get a deal done quickly for the 26-year-old. Ramsdale has made 153 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, keeping 38 clean sheets and providing one assist in the process.
