Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has warned Wesley Sneijder against thinking he is too big for the Turkish club.

Both clubs have already reached an agreement over a January transfer, but the Dutchman is in no rush to make a decision about his future, with deadline day just under a fortnight away.

“Nobody should think that they are bigger than this club,” the former Turkey manager said at a press conference.

“Not me, not the club president, and not those who could join the club this transfer window.

“We do not want to sign any players who think they are more important than Galatasaray. This is one of the key principles at this club and it is not up for debate.”

Galatasaray face stiff competition from Liverpool in the race for Sneijder’s signature.
