Tottenham agree Hugo Lloris deal

Tottenham are about to sign goalkeeper Hugo Lloris from Lyon, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.

The French daily understands that the two clubs have finally reached an agreement over the transfer fee.

As a result, the highly rated goalkeeper will undergo a medical in London this afternoon before signing a long-term deal with Spurs.

The same source claims Tottenham will pay around €12 million for Lloris, with another €3m or €4m depending on performance related bonuses.

Ligue 1 side Nice will bag 25% of the transfer fee, according to the clause inserted in the deal that brought the talented keeper to Gerland in 2008.

The Premier League club long ago entered talks with Lyon for the French international, and they have finally agreed to meet Lyon’s asking price.

Hugo Lloris is, therefore, set to leave Gerland after four seasons and almost 150 Ligue 1 appearances for les Gones.
