Andros Townsend is keen sort of his future at Tottenham having spent the second-half of the season on loan at QPR.

The 21-year-old’s move to Loftus Road is his ninth spell out on loan and he has no interest in making it 10, so will sit down with Andre Villas-Boas to find out whether he is in the manager’s first-team plans at White Hart Lane.

During his time at QPR, Townsend has put in some impressive performances that will have caught the eye of Villas-Boas, and he is keen to back that up with a strong pre-season to earn himself a place in the side.

Townsend knows that if he does not get chances in the Tottenham first team he may have to leave the club, but he is confident that will not be the case.

“At this stage of my career I’m going to give it a real big go
pre-season at Tottenham,” he said.

“If I’m still not getting the games, I don’t
want to go out on loan again.

“I’ve had nine loans now and I need to move on a permanent basis if I don’t get regular games for Spurs.”
