Valencia line up Albelda replacement

Spanish daily AS understands that Valencia are preparing a summer bid for Levante midfielder Vicente Iborra.

After long-serving midfielder David Albelda revealed his plans to leave Mestalla when his contract expires at the end of the season, los Che are actively searching for his replacement.

According to AS, they have made Levante star Vicente Iborra their number one target in the summer transfer window.

Iborra, 25, has a contract until June 2014 at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia and has asked new contract talks to be delayed for the end of the season in order to explore his options.

Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez believes this is the right time to try and lure the player to Mestalla, with his €6 million release clause unlikely to be a problem.

Vicente Iborra has spent his entire professional career at Levante, making 152 league appearances for the club and scoring 7 goals in the process.
