Zaza talks up Juventus return; Gaitan wants better deal at Benfica

Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza has dropped another hint that he would be delighted to return to Juventus in the near future.

The Bianconeri sold the talented footballer to their league rivals in the summer, albeit including a buy-back clause in the deal.

And with the 23-year-old largely impressing in the new season and becoming full Italy international, it is hardly surprising that Juventus want him back.

Oddly enough, Zaza scored against his former and quite possibly future employers as Sassuolo held their more illustrious rivals to a 1-1 draw and he admits to having met with two Bianconeri officials after the game.

“I met (Giuseppe) Marotta and (Fabio) Paratici, in the dressing room, they gave me compliments, and I promised them that I would also score against other sides…,” Zaza confessed to Tuttosport before revealing his plans to return to Turin.

“It would be a dream, Juve is the best club where I could go and play.”

Simone Zaza has scored 2 goals in 6 league outings this term, while netting once in two starts for Italy in the Euro 2016 Qualifying campaign.

Gaitan wants better deal at Benfica

Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo has learned that Argentine winger Nicolas Gaitan is not satisfied with the latest contract offer by the club.

The 26-year-old has less than two years left on his current deal and with top European clubs hot on his trail, the Eagles may be forced to cash in on the player, unless he extends his contract in the coming months.

However, while the two sides reached a verbal agreement over a new deal back in August, O Jogo has learned that Gaitan’s representatives are no longer satisfied with the conditions.

This basically means that negotiations will have to start from scratch and there is a good chance that the Argentina international will consider his options in the January window.

Nicolas Gaitan has been playing at a very high level since joining from Boca Juniors four years ago, scoring 18 goals in 107 league outings.

The highly rated footballer also managed to return into international reckoning, having featured in recent friendlies against Germany and Hong Kong.

Serge Aurier has PSG future

Ivorian defender Serge Aurier will be given time to prove his worth at Parc des Princes, according to Le Parisien.

The Saints were believed to have produced quite a coup by winning the race for the player’s signature in the summer, but the 21-year-old has had a pretty indifferent start to his career in Paris.

Having missed a chunk of pre-season training after taking part at the 2014 World Cup, Aurier was unable to rediscover his form and was heavily criticized for his performances in the opening exchanges.

There were even some reports suggesting the Ivorian could leave in January, but Le Parisien claims coach Laurent Blanc as well as club officials still believe he can made the grade at Parc des Princes.

Aurier has fallen behind Gregory van der Wiel in the pecking order, making just four appearances this term.

Despite trailing leaders Marseille by seven points after ten games, PSG remain 2/9 favourites to defend the league trophy.
