Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has assured AC Milan fans that the striker will not be ending his illustrious career any time soon.

The 30-year-old Ibrahimovic said he was growing tired of football last week, which led to speculation of his impending retirement.

Agent Mino Raiola has now moved to cool any remaining doubts over the player’s future and believes rumours of early retirement for his client are pure fabrication.

“There is no problem. This story (of Ibrahimovic retiring) is invented. Zlatan is strong and independent and he could even quit tomorrow, but it is not like this,” Raiola told Sky Sport Italia.

“I think the Milan fans should not be worried and (Milan CEO Adriano) Galliani should not be worried either.”

Milan welcome Palermo to the San Siro in Serie A action on Saturday.
