AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri insists he does not feel his job is at risk after his team were beaten 2-1 by Fiorentina at San Siro.

A recent report suggested that club president Silvio Berlusconi is ready to give the manager the sack if he fails to guide the team to their second consecutive Serie A title.

Despite the fact that the Rossoneri have dropped to second spot in the table following Saturday’s results, Allegri does not believe he could be on his way out.

“I absolutely don’t feel that my job is at risk,” Allegri said.

“The club will make their evaluations at the end of the season, but I prefer to focus on the task at hand.

“We all have to live it day by day, game by game, because too many calculations have been made over the past few days.

“There are still seven rounds to go. Everyone said Juve had a great chance of winning the Scudetto when they were behind us, so I don’t see why we shouldn’t in the same position.”

AC Milan will be eager to return to winning ways on Tuesday when they travel to Chievo.
