Carlo Ancelotti says his team must improve if they are to mount a serious challenge for the Ligue 1 title.

Ancelotti’s side were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation-threatened Auxerre on Sunday, and trail leaders Montpellier by two points with six matches remaining this term.

Brazilian attacker Nene looked to have put PSG on their way to all three points, but Anthony Le Tallec netted a deserved equaliser for the hosts deep in injury time to cap off a disappointing evening for the visitors.

Ancelotti said after the match: “There has been complacency, we seem to struggle winning games. I’m angry at the players, as they have to be decisive.

“PSG did not deserve to beat Auxerre, we did not put on one of our best performances.

“We played well in the first 20 minutes, that’s all. We know that all matches are difficult.

“Worse than the result is the attitude of his team, which has worsened. We played very casually, too casually even.

“We cannot be satisfied with our performance levels if we’re serious about winning Ligue 1. We need to show more character.”
