Anzhi table Pavlyuchenko offer

The agent of Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko claims an offer has been made for his client by wealthy Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

Pavlyuchenko has found himself frustrated at White Hart Lane with Emmanuel Adebayor, Jermain Defoe and Rafael van der Vaart all preferred ahead of him by Spurs manager Harry Redknapp.

His starts this season have all been limited to cup appearances, mostly in the Europa League where he scored twice in six games.

The 30-year-old has spoken out in the past about his frustrations at limited game time and has made it clear that he wants more first-team football.

QPR are one club rumoured to be interested in the Russian international but his representative Oleg Artemov says Anzhi, who have former Barcelona and Inter striker Samuel Eto’o among their ranks, have already made a bid for his services.

“At the beginning, Roman absolutely ignored Anzhi,” Artemov told Tden.ru.

“He wasn’t against going back to Russia, but not to the Makhachkala-based team, but Pavlyuchenko is tired of the uncertainty and the lack of match action.”

“He has a concrete offer from Anzhi in his hand. This offer is very good and profitable.”

“Roman will accept it unless he gets a better offer.”
