Aston Villa confident of signing AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham?

Aston Villa are confident of signing Tammy Abraham from AS Roma in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that the Premier League club are keen on securing the services of the England international striker at the end of the season, and that they are confident of getting a deal done.

The report has claimed that Villa will need to pay at least £40 million for Abraham. The striker is in his second season at AS Roma and has done well for Jose Mourinho’s side. The 25-year-old has scored eight goals and given three assists in 23 Serie A starts this season. Abraham has also scored one goal and given two assists in seven UEFA Europa League starts this campaign.

Villa are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 54 points from 34 matches, as many as nine points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played 32 games. Meanwhile, Roma currently find themselves sixth in the Serie A standings with 57 points from 32 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Inter Milan.
