Celtic new boy Amido Balde has declared his “love” for the club after completing his move to Scotland from Vitoria Guimaraes.
The 22-year-old striker has penned a four-year deal at Celtic Park and his initial comments are likely to endear him instantly to the Parkhead faithful.
Balde was pictured arriving in Glasgow for talks on Wednesday with a Celtic scarf around his neck.
With a medical passed and personal terms sorted, Balde cannot wait to turn his attentions to getting his SPL career under way.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m proud to sign for Celtic and want to do everything I can to take this opportunity, work hard and grow as a player.
“I fell in love with the club three years ago and I watched every game on TV.
“When I saw the Barcelona game last year it was crazy and I loved the crowd.
“After watching that game, there are no words I can say to describe what it will mean for me to play for Celtic.”
Balde’s fledging career has so far included spells in Portugal, Belgium and Spain. He scored nine goals in 36 appearances last season.
