Barcelona are interested in signing Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo. The report has claimed that Barcelona are on the hunt for a midfielder to replace Gavi due to his long-term injury, and Lo Celso is on their radar.
Lo Celso is struggling for playing time at Tottenham at the moment. The Argentina international midfielder has not been a huge success at Spurs, and perhaps a move to Barcelona could appeal to him. The 27-year-old has played only 39 minutes in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season.
Barcelona are third in the La Liga table at the moment with 30 points from 13 matches, four points behind leaders Girona. Meanwhile, Tottenham currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League table with 26 points from 12 games.
