Bayern boss hints at Tevez move

Bayern coach Jupp Heyncke has admitted interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

The Bavarnians are looking to bring a quality striker before the transfer window closes and the gaffer only wants the best.

“If we decide to sign a striker, we’re going after a top class attacker,” Heynckes told Bild.

“But who is available at the moment? Someone like Aguero would be a good signing, but he cost €40m.  Tevez also costs €45m.

“Those are the kinds of players who would make us stronger. The players who I want are not available right now. We’re not paying a transfer fee of €40m for a new striker.”

Following Miroslav Klose’s departure, Heynckess only has young Nils Petersen and injury prone Ivica Olic as back up for Mario Gomez, so another quality striker would be more than welcome at Alianz Arena.
