Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi will be out of contract at the end of the season, and the defender has already informed his club that he would not be signing a new deal. Therefore, he will be free to talk to clubs outside England and possibly sign a pre-contract agreement from January 1.
With that in mind, according to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich intend to open talks with Guehi at the turn of the year. They see him as an ideal candidate to replace Dayot Upamecano, should the France international decide not to renew his own contract with the Bavarians.
Guehi was on the verge of joining Liverpool on the last day of the summer transfer window, only to see the club withdraw their consent after he had already completed a medical. It is believed that the 25-year-old is still keen on moving to Anfield, but Bayern obviously hope they can change his mind and lure him to the Allianz Arena instead.
