Portuguese champions Benfica are readying summer bid for Dinamo Zagreb defender Borna Sosa, according to Record.

The Eagles are preparing for life after Alex Grimaldo, who is widely tipped to join Napoli in the summer, while other left-back Eliseu will probably be released in June.

It is for that reason that Benfica are in the market for left-sided defenders, and Borna Sosa has emerged as their top target.

The 20-year-old is the latest hot prospect to have come out of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth academy and he is valued at €7 million.

Sosa has so far made 24 league appearances for the Croatian giants, while representing his country at U17, U19 and U21 levels.
