Bianchi makes case for Messi greatness

Former Argentina international Carlos Bianchi believes Barcelona star Lionel Messi is the greatest player the game has ever seen.

Some have questioned the 25-year-old’s claim to that title due to his lack of success to date at international level, but Binachi feels Messi’s consistency alone puts him above all others.

“I see him as the best player of all time,” he told La Garganta Poderosa.

“People to say to me: ‘He’s not a world champion’, but Messi plays a game every three days and he is great every time. If he does not score, we miss it.

“We have to be aware that before us is a player the likes of which we will never see again, for his performances and his consistency.”

Argentine captain Messi has scored 31 goals in 75 appearances for his country.
