Competition: League One

Market: Bolton win

Odds: 1/2 @ 888sport

Hoping to make an immediate return to winning ways in midweek, Bolton will host a struggling Forest Green on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, eventually getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Derby over the weekend, Bolton will be glad to make a return to home soil on Tuesday night. While Ian Evatt’s men might have just about missed out on a play-off spot last season, the Whites are desperate to go one-step further this time around. Still battling it out in the top-six, the former Barrow boss has seen his side gain plenty of plaudits from across League One this year. In fact, they just one of their previous nine straight matchups across all formats – a run that stems all the way back to December 10th. Smelling the chance to find an immediate boost on Tuesday night, the hosts have gained a reputation for their continued success on home soil. Last seen at the University of Bolton Stadium picking up a 3-0 romp against Portsmouth, it should be highlighted that Evatt’s side are unbeaten in front of their own supporters since the start of November.

As for the visitors, while Forest Green might have breezed their way to England’s third-tier last season, Ian Burchnall’s side are in the midst of a real League One struggle this time around. Last seen over the weekend suffering a second-half collapse on home soil as they slumped to a 2-1 loss against MK Dons, the Gloucestershire-based outfit sit rock-bottom of the table and tipped as the leading relegation contender in 2023. Likewise, crashing out of the FA Cup earlier in the month thanks to another 2-1 defeat against Championship strugglers Birmingham, Forest Green are without a win from any of their last seven straight contests. Suffering six defeats on that extended rut, there is no doubt that Burchnall’s men will face a stern challenge on Tuesday night. In a showdown between two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the League One table, it is hard to see anything other than a home victory in midweek.

Bet: Bolton 1/2 to beat Forest Green in Tuesday’s League One matchup @ 888sport
