Bitesize Prediction: Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth – 06/12/23

Competition: Premier League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their recent purple patch on Wednesday night, Bournemouth will travel to Selhurst Park when they meet Crystal Palace.

Starting with the hosts, while Crystal Palace might have mounted a second-half comeback away at West Ham over the weekend as they eventually snatched a 1-1 stalemate, the Eagles do find themselves in the midst of a recent rut. Heading into November’s international break with a worrying performance as they slumped to an action-packed 3-2 loss against Everton, Roy Hodgson’s men have claimed just a single victory from any of their previous seven Premier League appearances – a run that stems back to September 30th. Almost sat in top-flight limbo, the former England boss does find some mounting pressure on his shoulders at Selhurst Park. Marking their return from the fortnight interval with a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of relegation scrappers Luton, Crystal Palace have continued to show some rather glaring defensive issues over the past couple of months. It should also be highlighted, Hodgson’s side have seen four of their last five Premier League showdowns finish with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

As for the visitors, while Bournemouth might have opened up the 2023/24 campaign e a public struggle, the Cherries have come roaring back in an eye-catching fashion. Although Andoni Iraola’s side might have suffered last-gasp heartbreak at home against Aston Villa over the weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 2-2 stalemate, Wednesday’s guests have collected seven points from their previous three Premier League appearances. Making plenty of improvements on either side of November’s international break, Bournemouth have dragged themselves away from a looming relegation scrap. Marking their return from the fortnight interval with a 3-1 romp away at Sheffield United, the Cherries have found a real clinical edge in the final third. Notching seven strikes on their three-match unbeaten run, some in Iraola’s camp could be smelling the chance to spring an upset at Selhurst Park here. It should be noted, with Bournemouth seeing six of their first seven away fixtures across all competitions finish with both teams finding the net, we are expecting a similar outcome.

Bet: Both teams to score at Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth 4/5 for Wednesday’s Premier League matchup @ BetUS
