Competition: Argentine Primera Division

Market: Defensa y Justicia win

Odds: 19/20 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their recent flurry and making another domestic statement, Defensa y Justicia will welcome Belgrano to Buenos Aires on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, officially punching their Copa Sudamericana knockout stage ticket earlier in the week thanks to a rampant display on foreign soil, Defensa y Justicia should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Eventually picking up a 3-0 romp away at Uruguayan outfit Penarol, Julio Vaccari’s side are enjoying what has quickly become a recent purple patch. Skyrocketing into the Primera Division top-nine, the Buenos Aires-based outfit have now lost just one of their previous 12 appearances across all competitions. With that stellar run of form stemming all the way back to April 8th, the midweek hosts have also gained a reputation for their continued success on home soil. Including a 2-0 victory against Colon last month, Defensa y Justicia have collected 14 points from their last six showdowns in front of their own supporters. It’s also worth noting, Vaccari’s men have suffered just a single defeat in Buenos Aires since the end of January.

As for the visitors, managing to claim what was a crucial boost last week, Belgrano are now hoping to find some recent stability. Drawing a line under their three-match winless run as they clinched a 2-0 victory at home against Velez Sarsfield, Guillermo Farre’s side have largely impressed since making their Primera Division return this season. However, knowing that they face a tough challenge when they travel to Buenos Aires on Tuesday night, it should be highlighted that the Pirates have shown some extended issues on the road. Last seen away from the El Gigante de Alberdi getting hit with a toothless 1-0 loss at the hands of Platense, Belgrano have now lost each of their previous three top-flight away fixtures – a run that stems back to April 15th. Likewise, losing those three straight matchups outside of Cordoba by an aggregate score of 5-0, Farre’s side have also failed to muster a single away goal in over 300 minutes of action.

Bet: Defensa y Justicia 19/20 to beat Belgrano in Tuesday’s Argentine Primera Division matchup @ BetUS
