Competition: Scottish Championship

Market: Goal to be scored in both halves

Odds: 8/11 @ 1xBet

Looking to extend their buffer in the play-off chase, Partick Thistle will travel to Hampden Park when they meet Queen’s Park on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Queen’s Park might have just about limped their way over the finishing line last season, the Spiders have endured another Championship struggle this time around. Watching their Scottish Cup adventure come to a thumping end last weekend as they slumped to a 4-1 drumming at the hands of Aberdeen, Callum Davidson has a real Jon on his hands. Last seen in Championship action falling to an action-packed 3-2 defeat at home against Ayr, the Glasgow-based outfit could be starting to look over their shoulder at a potential relegation scrap. Losing their back-to-back appearances over the past week by an aggregate score of 7-3, Queen’s Park have gained a reputation for their defensive struggles. Along with losing three of their previous four showdowns at Hampden, it should also be noted that the Jags have conceded at least a pair of goals in all of their last five consecutive appearances on home soil.

As for the visitors, while Partick Thistle might open Tuesday’s showdown sat in the play-off places, it is no secret that the Jags are desperately seeking some much-needed stability. Despite snatching a late 1-1 stalemate at home against Livingston last time out, interim boss Brian Graham has seen his downbeat squad muster just three points from any of their previous six consecutive Championship appearances. With their recent issues underlined by an action-packed 5-2 defeat against Falkirk on February 8th, Partick have also notched just a single victory from any of their last nine attempts – a run that stems all the way back to a 2-1 win against Tuesday’s opponents on December 28th. Desperate to get their promotion charge back on track, Graham’s temporary squad have also shown their own respective defensive struggles. Including a 3-0 drumming against Raith Rovers on February 15th, Tuesday’s guests have failed to muster a single Championship clean sheet since opening the New Year.

Bet: Goal to be scored in both halves at Queen’s Park vs Partick Thistle 8/11 for Tuesday’s Scottish Championship contest @ 1xBet
