Competition: League One
Market: Stevenage win
Odds: 19/20 @ BetUS
Hoping to skyrocket their way into the play-off places, Stevenage will welcome Leyton Orient to Broadhall Way on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Stevenage might have fallen to a downbeat 3-1 loss away at Wycombe last month, it appears that display was nothing more than a minor blip for Alex Revell’s resurgent squad. Last seen over the weekend securing a gritty 1-0 victory away at Burton, the Hertfordshire-based outfit have come skyrocketing back up the League One table and they now sit within touching distance of finding a route into the play-off places. Signing off February with an eye-catching 2-1 win against Stockport, Stevenage have won four of their previous five appearances and they will be confident of making another promotion statement here. Enjoying what has become their most fruitful spell since back in October, Tuesday’s hosts will also be excited by their extended dominance at Broadhall Way. Including another 2-1 victory against Port Vale on February 17th, it should be noted that Stevenage have won all of their previous four consecutive showdowns in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 6-2.
As for the visitors, while Leyton Orient might have opened up the 2025/26 campaign with their sights firmly set on mounting another play-off charge, Richie Wellens’ men find themselves at the heart of a public crisis. Last seen over the weekend getting hit with a 2-1 defeat away at Bradford, the O’s are scrapping it out in the drop zone and travel to Hertfordshire on Tuesday night sat two points adrift of safety. Signing off February with a routine 3-1 drumming at home against Barnsley, Orient have recorded just a sole win from any of their previous eight consecutive League One appearances. Facing a major battle in the race to avoid an infamous relegation in 2026, Wellens’ downbeat squad should also be bracing themselves for another stern examination here. Likewise, the former Doncaster boss has also seen his squad lose seven of their previous nine matchups away from Brisbane Road across all fronts – a run that stems back to the end of November.
