Competition: National League

Market: Wealdstone win

Odds: 13/10 @ 888sport

With the chance to break into the play-off places on Tuesday night, Wealdstone will welcome relegation scrappers Oldham to Grosvenor Vale.

Starting with the hosts, while Wealdstone might have spent the majority of last season battling it out in a relegation scrap, Stuart Maynard’s men have gained a string of plaudits this time around. Last seen on January 7th claiming a thumping 3-1 victory at home against Eastleigh, the Blues should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Opening the midweek fixtures sat just a single point adrift of breaking into the play-off places, the Londoners will be smelling the chance to lay down another marker here. Despite suffering a disappointing FA Trophy defeat away at Chelmsford earlier in the month, it appears that was just a minor blip for Tuesday’s hosts. In fact, Wealdstone have lost just one of their last nine straight National League contests – a run that stems all the way back to the end of October.

As for the visitors, while Oldham might have claimed a much-needed romp away at Dorking on January 7th, the Latics came crashing back down to earth over the weekend. Eventually crashing out of the FA Trophy following a 3-1 loss away at Gateshead, David Unsworth’s men are really seeking some stability. At the heart of another relegation scrap and holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, the former Everton coach has seen his squad win just a pair of National League victories since back on October 22nd. Likewise, suffering a 2-1 defeat when they welcomed Wealdstone to Boundary Park earlier in the season, it should be noted that Oldham have shown some extended issues on the road. In fact, Tuesday’s guests have lost four of their last five away showdowns.

Bet: Wealdstone 13/10 to beat Oldham in Tuesday’s National League battle @ 888sport
