AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has moved to deny rumours he is on the verge of leaving the Serie A club.

The 25-year-old has seen an off-season of upheaval at AC Milan, with star players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and many others heading for the exit.

But Boateng insists he will not be following in the footsteps of those who have left the San Siro outfit.

“Of course I have heard (the speculation), but it doesn’t come from me,” Boateng told Bild.

“I can safely say, I’m happy at AC Milan and I currently don’t sit on packed bags. I also owe much to Milan and I’m not thinking about Bayern Munich or other clubs.”

Boateng, who prevented Michael Ballack from playing in the 2010 World Cup because of a challenge he put on the German when his ex-club Portsmouth faced Chelsea in the FA Cup final that year, has praised the recently retired international.

“Without a question, a big career has ended there. He (Ballack) has done a lot for football,” Boateng said.

The Ghanaian midfielder also said he thinks Borussia Dortmund’s Juergen Klopp is the best German coach but wants his brother Jerome to get one over him in the title race.

“Dortmund’s Juergen Klopp is for me the best German coach, but I want my brother to win the championship title with Bayern Munich,” Boateng said.

Boateng and Milan will return to action against Lazio, in an away match on Saturday.
