Boos won´t deter Cambiasso

Esteban Cambiasso’s agent says the Argentine has not thought about leaving Inter despite being booed by the San Siro crowd at the weekend.

Cambiasso was jeered from the field after an uncharacteristically subdued showing in Inter’s 2-2 draw with Catania on Sunday and, at 31, he could soon be deemed surplus to requirements by the club, who many pundits believe are in need of fresh legs in midfield.

However, the player’s representative, Peppino Tirri, insists Cambiasso still has much to offer Inter.

“The whistles at Cambiasso? The fans were rightly venting their anger in what is a difficult time for the team,” Tirri told Tuttomercatoweb.

“(They were) only directed at Cambiasso out of frustration and for no other reason, because what Cambiasso has given to Inter is seen and appreciated by everyone.”

“Cambiasso has given so much to the Inter cause and that was really shown in the tears after his substitution.”

“Those who were whistling yesterday were doing so out of rage because of the bad spell the team is in. Everyone is paying (for it), but above all the senior members of the squad.”

“He will still be a point of reference for Inter in the coming years. The fans are making their feelings known a bit, but there is nobody better around than Esteban.”

Cambiasso joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2004 and played a key role in the club’s treble success in 2010.
